Kinzo Matsumoto (right) Patrick Caleo, MSC Asia Pacific Regional Director Based on the belief that “fisheries resources are renewable resources, not depletable resources,” Aeon began selling products with the MSC “Marine Eco Label”, a global certification for sustainable fishing, in 2006. Currently, in addition to fresh fish such as sashimi and fillets, we have expanded our sales to include 52 items*1) from 28 types of fish, including rice balls, chikuwa, and cat food.
We are pleased to announce that the 2023 fiscal year for products with the MSC “Marine Eco Label”
We won the MSC Japan Award 2024 (Retail Category) as the retail company with the largest domestic sales weight*2).
Aeon will continue to promote initiatives to reduce environmental impact that allow customers to contribute through shopping by expanding sales of environmentally friendly products, including sustainable seafood.
