Renewal of the former Sogo Kawaguchi store building that closed in 2021 Start of construction on the “(tentative name) Kawaguchi Station Commercial Facility Plan”
*~A commercial facility that will add even more convenience and liveliness to the station is scheduled to open in spring 2025~*

Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shun Ueda) has recently begun construction of the “(tentative name) Kawaguchi Station Commercial Facility Project” as a renewal plan for the former Sogo Kawaguchi store building in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture. I would like to inform you that I have done so. The opening is scheduled for spring 2025.

In this project, we will acquire Sogo Co., Ltd./Seibu Co., Ltd.’s equity interest in the former Sogo Kawaguchi store building, and will renovate and reopen it as a commercial facility under our brand. This building is connected to the east exit of Kawaguchi Station on the JR Keihin Tohoku Line by a pedestrian deck, and the bus stop in front of the station is serviced by about 30 route buses, making it convenient for transportation from many directions. Located in a convenient location.

While retaining the large clock and marble features of the former Sogo Kawaguchi store, which has long been popular with the local community, we have created an attractive commercial environment, as well as a variety of gourmet stores selling apparel, cosmetics, daily
necessities, fresh food, and sweets. By having approximately 100 stores, we will further improve the convenience and liveliness of the station area and contribute to the creation of a vibrant town. We will also work to realize a sustainable society by implementing
environmental measures in cooperation with each store.
