ugo accelerates overseas expansion – selected for ASEAN expansion accompaniment support program
* ugo Co., Ltd. (Ugo, head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, representative director and CEO: Matsui), which develops business DX robots Ken) is supported by Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Leave a Nest) in the “Project to promote overseas expansion by Japanese startups through collaboration with ASEAN companies”, which is promoted by Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Leave a Nest) in a project commissioned by the ASEAN-Japan Economic and Industrial Cooperation Committee (AMEICC). It was adopted by a company. *
Through this initiative, we will promote the overseas expansion of the business DX robot ugo developed by our company to ASEAN countries including Malaysia.
* ■Summary of this support project*
In recent years, while ASEAN countries have achieved sustained growth, various social issues have begun to emerge due to rapid social changes accompanying economic growth.
While there are many Japanese startups that have solutions that help solve these social issues, there are many issues in ASEAN countries, such as how to select and approach local partners, how to proceed with negotiations for pitches and collaborations, and how to build networks in the local ecosystem. We are facing challenges in developing local business through collaboration with companies.
For this reason, this project provides support for strategy
formulation through individual mentoring for Japanese startups considering business expansion in ASEAN countries, search for local partner companies, attendance at interviews and business negotiations with local companies, and advice. We will provide escort support such as advice for pitch events. As a result, we aim to achieve concrete collaborative results with ASEAN companies, such as joint projects, joint research, capital alliances, and the establishment of JVs. * ■Future plans for the Malaysia course*

– Participation in HYPER INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE in Malaysia 2024 – *Wednesday, January 15, 2025*
– Holding a tech venture meetup to report results and lead to further business development
