[Sponsored by NIJIN After School] Minecraft “Let’s create your ideal school” contest, grand prize for elementary school students decided Metaverse afterschool “NIJIN After School” (scheduled to open on Monday, September 2, 2024) for elementary and junior high school students, operated by NIJIN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Tatsuro Hoshino), is a summer course. We held a Minecraft contest.
Minecraft Contest Overview
・Holding period: July 30th (Tuesday) to August 13th (Tuesday) ・Target: Elementary and junior high school students
・Theme: Ideal school
・Judging method: Voting by children who participated in the summer course (including other courses)
40 children voted for the school they would like to attend.
With the theme of creating a school that everyone would want to attend, the 12 children who participated in the contest created a school using Minecraft. On the last day of the five-session course, the children gave a presentation about the school they had created. The presentation methods were free, with some children creating video presentations and others giving talks while showing photos and actual Minecraft screens.
The children could be seen thinking seriously about what they had done, what their thoughts were when they created it, and what they should do to convey their feelings to everyone.
The presentation was filled with the children’s ingenuity.
*Elementary school grand prize decided*
The grand prize winner was a 5th grade elementary school student. It took about 10 hours to create the school, with the theme of a school with a sense of openness and freedom.
After the Grand Prix is decided,
“I was surprised at how high the level of all the other participants were. By interacting with each other in the course, I was able to listen to everyone’s opinions, which was helpful. That’s why I was able to create a good school. I will continue to play Minecraft even more.” I want to connect with everyone.”

[Feelings I put into school]
I want to create a school that has a sense of openness and freedom, where students don’t have their own timetables or classes.
We created an indoor pool and courtyard where you can swim even when it rains, so that rain doesn’t feel like a negative thing.
My ideal school is one that has a sense of openness and does not harm freedom.
