“Nicoando’s “Melancholy Paradise””
is a project in which the locations of memories of the people who appear as subjects become the shooting locations, capturing the emotions and expressions that are overflowing at that time and place. Photographer Masanobu Ando captures every moment of his subjects through his sensibilities.
In the first episode (released on August 23, 2024), Nagisa Sekisui, who is active as an actor, will appear. There are shots taken with flowers that symbolically appear in the “Melancholy Paradise” series set in Yutenji, Tokyo, where he used to live, and photos of his favorite menu items at a Chinese restaurant that Sekisui said he frequented often. The second episode (to be released on August 30, 2024) will feature Momoko Tanabe, who is also attracting attention as an actress. We took the photo at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, a place with fond memories of where I often went to play with my family and friends since I was little.
