Founder Jacques Marie creates high quality products using natural fibers. BLEUFORÊT was born in France in 1995 with the desire to create legwear. Near Epinal, located in the northeast of France,
BLEUFORÊT has its own factory in Vagny, on the edge of the Vosges National Park, surrounded by the Moselotte River.The socks produced by BLEUFORÊT are smooth against the skin and have no toe seams. With designs that make your legs look beautiful, and a wide range of collections, it is loved by fans around the world due to its French identity and outstanding recognition.
The materials used are mainly yarns from Italy, one of the few countries with spinning factories in Europe, and each piece is carefully made using specially modified circular knitting machines installed in our own factory. The machine is equipped with 400 needles instead of the usual 300, producing thinner, smoother, denser stitches and increasing strength even in the finest gauges. .
With a reliable production background, we produce legwear items of the highest quality in collaboration with local craftsmen who carry on the textile tradition, including highly skilled local adjusters, knitters, and formers who carry on the textile tradition.
In addition, as part of our commitment to the environment, we use hydroelectric power generated from river tributaries for approximately half of our factory’s electricity, and manufacture products that do not emit any unburned materials or fuel residue. . Furthermore, in 2022, we will establish an environmental policy, establish a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and establish environmental indicators to track progress.
We have also announced that we will work together with our suppliers to reduce long journeys and reduce carbon emissions, including recruiting from within a radius of several kilometers.
