Aeon Cigna Sports United fully supports Amakusa City and Reihoku Town tourism collaboration project!

Tsuyoshi (hereinafter referred to as ASSU) and the Amakusa
City/Reihoku Town Tourism Collaboration Project Executive Committee will collaborate with Amakusa City, Reihoku Town, and surrounding facilities from September 2024 to utilize e-bikes in response to the growing demand for sports tourism. Started Amakusa City/Reihoku Town tourism collaboration project. An opening ceremony will be held at Tomioka Port on September 1st (Sunday), and a free e-bike test ride will be held only on September 1st.
* Purpose of Amakusa City/Reihoku Town Tourism Collaboration Project * By creating and promoting a tour plan that connects the tourist resources and contents of Amakusa City and Reihoku Town in the Amakusa West Coast area, etc., we will further promote the attraction of tourists from the Nagasaki area using the Tomioka-Mogi route, and increase the number of visitors to the Amakusa West Coast area. We will analyze the verification results of the means of transportation and verify the effects of regional revitalization, potential and sustainability as a tourism activity, and lead to full-scale introduction and operation.

ASSU plans and produces a travel proposal video that uses e-bikes to visit sightseeing spots in Amakusa City and Reihoku Town. It will be shown at each facility and Aeon Kyushu store. Promotional posters and flyers will also be placed at similar facilities and stores. Enjoy a beautiful sunset along the coastline of Amakusa City and Reihoku Town on an e-bike.
The ruins of Tomioka Castle were built in 1604 by the castle lord of Hizen Karatsu, Terasawa Shima no Kami Hirotaka, as the headquarters of the Amakusa government.

* Service provided 2.: Cycling course design *
Enjoy the nature of Amakusa City and Reihoku Town for beginners to advanced e-bike riders, such as a course to enjoy the Amakusa West Coast Sunset Line with family and friends and a mountain bike activity course that tours the Sakitsu Village in Amakusa, which is registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site. * Service provided 3.: Introduction of e-bikes *
Two types of e-bikes will be introduced that match the topography of Amakusa City and Reihoku Town and the purpose of this tourism collaboration project.

Panorama: A city-type e-bike that is popular among women. A simple and stylish design that doesn’t look like an electric-assist bicycle because it has a built-in battery.
Xross: A mountain bike type e-bike developed by a former Honda engineer. Can travel up to 130km on a single charge

* Provided service 4.: Cycle station *
A cycle station has been set up in collaboration with three facilities in Amakusa City and Reihoku Town. At the cycle station, you can rent e-bikes, helmets, and keys, receive information on cycling courses, purchase insurance, and return bicycles. Enjoy communicating with people at local facilities.

An opening ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 1st at Tomioka Port, and a free test ride of rental bicycles will be held as soon as it ends. ASSU will utilize our knowledge and experience in cycle tourism as well as the AEON network to fully support the Amakusa City/Reihoku Town tourism partnership project.
