August 24th (Saturday) 10:00 am [Saga Tamaya South Building/East Annex] Reopening!
*The charm of the main building will be concentrated in the “South Building” and will be re-opened together with the “East Annex” along Chuo Avenue. *

Saga Tamaya South Building and East Annex will reopen at 10am on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
The south building will be renovated into a compact yet convenient and easy-to-visit facility, relocating the brands and shops that were open in the main building and adding a new restaurant.
In the basement of the south building [Tamachika], there is a confectionery and bread shop [Tomizawa Shoten] and a [Chinese restaurant].
Shanley’s bento box and side dish corner has newly opened, making the floor even more attractive.
A long-established Kyoto sporting goods store [Sports Shop Mitsuhashi] corner will open on the 3rd floor of the South Building, and men’s clothing [Golden Bear] will open on the 5th floor of the South Building on the same day.
In addition, the new “Higashi Annex” building along Chuo-dori Street will be open as a store that is easy to stop by and use, selling mainly food gifts, souvenirs, and popular sweets on a monthly basis.
* 1. Tamaya Food Hall is scheduled to open in mid-September! * Tamaya Restaurant will be reborn.
We will open a restaurant where you can feel free to eat alone or with your family, offering everything from udon and rice bowls to healthy gozen and grill menus.

In the basement of the south building [Tamachika], various projects are held, including daily specials, limited quantity products, and special store openings.
We will renovate our sales floor to create a fresh, delicious and fun store that you can use every day.

* 3. [Tomizawa Shoten] corner is now open on the basement floor of the south building [Tamachika]! *
The [Tomizawa Shoten] corner, which sells high-quality and carefully selected products centered on confectionery and baking materials, will open on the basement floor of the South Building.
To commemorate the new opening, we are also offering a limited edition “bean sweets set” in limited quantities.

* 4. Expanded store [Saga Tamaya Higashi Annex] with a selection of Japanese and Western confectionery gifts from inside and outside the prefecture *
Assuming that the number of people visiting Japan for sightseeing, SAGA Arena, 2024 Country Sports, and All-Disabled Sports will increase, we have opened a souvenir gift store [Saga Tamaya] that is easy to stop by and easy to use along Saga City Chuo Odori Street (Prefectural Road No. 29). 6.* Creating a store that is fresh and attractive every time you visit by holding weekly events*
A new event space will be set up on the 7th floor of the south building, and in addition to product exhibitions and a
midyear/year-end gift center, various plans and events will be held on a weekly basis.
When we reopen on August 24th (Saturday), we will hold the “Saga Prefecture Big Product Exhibition.”

7.* Point increase and 10-time interest-free campaign also held* Member points will increase from August 24th (Sat) to September 2nd (Mon)! We will also be holding a campaign where you can make 10 payments without any fees.

The rooftop, the memorable place of the department store, will also be renovated and used as a stage for various events such as gourmet events, amusement parks, music, and dance.

■Future schedule
We will be temporarily closed from August 19, 2024 (Monday) to August 23, 2024 (Friday) due to the relocation of the sales floor and equipment from the main building to the south building.
Starting Saturday, August 24, 2024, the sales floor of the main building of the South Building will be relocated to the South Building, and the South Building will be reopened and the East Annex will open at the same time.
The main building will undergo gradual demolition work from
mid-September 2024, with a grand opening scheduled for sometime in 2026.

Please note that the Saga Tamaya Yoshinogari Shop will remain open, with business hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We will be open every Tuesday as a regular holiday.
The Yoshinogari shop will also be temporarily closed from August 19th to August 23rd.
