Background to the introduction of “SmartPOST”
Otari Village is using “SmartPOST” with the aim of reducing postage costs, paper purchasing costs, and printing costs, as well as reducing overall costs since a huge amount of work is required to insert and seal certain mailings. We have decided to introduce it. In addition to mailing, distribution was sometimes requested to village
representatives, which was a huge burden not only for staff but also for residents. Furthermore, as business processes become more digital and paperless, the use of paper media is also increasing the environmental burden.

In order to resolve these issues, the introduction of an electronic mailing system was considered. The use of “SmartPOST” is expected to not only reduce mailing costs, but also allow residents to receive the latest information without deteriorating its freshness, contributing to improved services for residents.
