We plan to deliver 13 satellites to JAXA within the fiscal year, the largest number since the establishment of the International Space Station microsatellite deployment project.
*The launch of six satellites will be completed on August 5, 2024, and they will be released from the International Space Station on August 29, 2024. This will be the maximum number of satellites on board at the same time since the transfer from JAXA to a private operator in this project.*

Masatoshi Nagasaki (Masatoshi Nagasaki) is planning to deliver 13 satellites (*) to JAXA within the fiscal year, the largest number since its founding, through the microsatellite release project from the Japanese Experiment Module “Kibo” on the International Space Station (ISS). We are pleased to announce that six of the satellites were successfully launched on August 5, 2024 at 12:02 a.m. (Japan Standard Time), and are scheduled to be released from the ISS on August 29, 2024.
*About JAXA delivery: The microsatellite will be delivered to JAXA after undergoing an on-site visual inspection after undergoing environmental resistance tests such as vibration tests and thermal vacuum tests on the ground, and completing a safety review and compliance review. It will be loaded onto a rocket and transported to the ISS, and after arriving at the ISS, it will be released into space from the Japanese Experiment Module “Kibo”.

In 2018, BD was selected by JAXA to be the operator of the first private project open to the private sector, “Microsatellite Deployment Project from the Japanese Experiment Module of the International Space Station Kibo”, and has continued to operate the ISS ever since.
As a private business operator, we are involved in all
commercialization projects related to satellite launches and ISS utilization, such as the use of onboard/external equipment, the shared space of the next-generation core rocket H3, and the release of satellites from the new space station replenishment vehicle HTV-X. We are the only company selected. From 2021, we will begin handling overseas launch methods in addition to domestic launch methods, making it possible to propose more flexible launch timings, support a wide range of satellite sizes, and launch into orbit. In total, we have handled over 80 satellite launch services and accomplished over 450 space transportations (including protein samples).
This time, we plan to deliver 13 satellites in FY2024, the largest number since our founding, in our microsatellite release project from the ISS “Kibo”. It was installed on the aircraft (NG-21) and launched at U.S. Space at 0:02 a.m. on August 5, 2024 (Japan Standard Time). Exploration Technologies
