*Coffin insertion experience workshop will be held on August 31st (Saturday) at “Shukatsu Snack Memen Tomori”*
YOMI International Co., Ltd. (Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo)
“Shukatsu Snack Memen Tomori”, run by Masumi Murata (Representative: Masumi Murata), will hold a special casket-filling experience workshop on August 31st (Saturday), the last day of summer vacation. On this day, we applied a student discount of 2,000 yen to all students, allowing more people to participate.
Background of the event
Known as the “September 1st problem,” the period just before the end of summer vacation is when suicide rates among children and young people increase. Through this coffin experience workshop, we hope that people who are finding it difficult to live will find the “meaning of life”.

Actual workshop
This workshop, which is held once a month at Shukatsu Snack Memen Tomori, is a two-hour program where participants first engage in self-introspection work, and then step into a coffin to experience death.
The coffins used in the workshop are from the funeral brand “GRAVE”. By choosing a coffin that suits them, participants will have the opportunity to think about their own way of living and dying.

During the workshop, there is a task where you write a eulogy for yourself in a coffin.
The condolence messages written by past participants are published on note. (*Real names have been redacted to protect personal

It’s been half a year since we opened “Shukatsu Snack Memen Tomori” as a place to openly discuss the end of life that comes to everyone. We decided to offer a student discount because we had a larger number of young customers in their 20s than we expected who were feeling the difficulty of living and were interested in mortality and the concept of life and death.

I myself have lived with suicidal thoughts since I was 10 years old. Everyone has different ways of accepting it, but I want everyone to know that there are experiences of death that can be reversed. I hope it reaches everyone who is finding life difficult right now. *About details about this release*
