Arima Onsen x Kaiseki cuisine x Sake!
At Kosenkaku, we offer a variety of meal plans to choose from, including Kosenkaku’s signature “kaiseki cuisine” where seasonal ingredients decorate the dishes, the on-site Western restaurant “La Fontine”, and summer-only barbecues. I am.
Among these, “kaiseki cuisine” and “sake” go well together, and we receive many requests from our customers.
Kosenkaku has several employees who are qualified as sake navigators, and they carefully select and prepare local sake that goes well with kaiseki cuisine. The lineup includes sake that is difficult to obtain, as well as Junmai sake brewed at Yamada Nishiki, a brewery in Hyogo Prefecture, and we rotate these items seasonally for your enjoyment.

Spring sake: There are many variations such as usunigori, origari, and nigori. Summer Sake: “Natsu Sake” is Japanese sake that is squeezed in winter, stored until summer, and then shipped.
There are also white wine-type sakes that are chilled, refreshing to drink, low in alcohol, have a sparkling feel, and have a strong acidity.
Autumn sake: Hiyaoroshi is a type of sake that is squeezed in early spring, aged over summer, and shipped in autumn. It has the umami of aging and a rounded, mellow taste.
Winter sake: The sake produced from December to March is called “fuyusake” (freshly squeezed sake).
Normally, sake is often pasteurized twice to extend its shelf life, but freshly squeezed new sake does not undergo this pasteurization process. Since the yeast is not pasteurized, the yeast is still alive, and by storing it in the refrigerator for a while, it will have a more mellow taste.

“Arima Onsen Motoyu Kosenkaku” is one of the few hot spring inns in Arima Onsen that boasts Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine that has its own hot spring source.
Located on a quiet hill overlooking the Tamba mountain range, away from the hot spring town, it is an environment where you can slowly heal your mind and body.
We offer Japanese cuisine made with carefully selected ingredients, including in-room meals that can be enjoyed in each Japanese-style room with a different taste.
Spending time at the restaurant’s hall seats is perfect for couples who want to cherish their time together.
It is also popular with families with small children.
The “Iwaburo”, which has a good old-fashioned atmosphere with its natural hot spring water, has been popular since its establishment without changing its appearance.
In 1997, a large public bath with an open-air bath in Kinsen called “Hakakudo,” and in 2021, a spacious family-friendly guest room. We are repeating trial and error in order to complete the “Suite Room” and continue to provide new value to everyone.
Although it is located on the premises of Kosenkaku, it operates as a log house type accommodation facility that contrasts with the Japanese atmosphere.
“The Lodge ARIMA RESORT” is a rental lodge with a Jacuzzi bath and loft bedroom. We offer a private space with the feeling of a villa, which is a little different from hotels and inns.
In addition to an indoor pool and BBQ plan open only in the summer, there is also a Western restaurant on the premises.
Lunch and dinner served at “La Fontine”
It is popular with families with children and day trip bathers. Arima Onsen, where Kosenkaku and The Lodge ARIMA RESORT are located, is about 60 minutes from Osaka and Kobe.
It is in a good location that can be accessed by train and express bus, and is a traditional hot spring town where you can visit the famous hot spring spots and
Enjoy gourmet food using Kobe beef, a local specialty, and enjoy carbonated rice crackers while walking
You can enjoy shopping for souvenirs.
We have sightseeing maps available in the lobby, and we also provide free transportation to and from the hot spring town.
We offer free shuttle service from Arima Onsen Station and Express Bus Terminal to each phone number, so please feel free to use it.
