On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, we will perform “Bakumatsu Junjoden,” which is one of the most popular of Kouhei Tsuka’s works.

9PROJECT’s goal has been to perform the plays without any revisions. In this work, I would like to reconstruct the first version performed 25 years ago, based on the published play and the few remaining video materials, and reconsider the “origins” of this hugely popular play.
