The Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (President: Shingo Torii), which has been providing industrial support in the health and medical field for over 20 years, announced on August 29th (Thursday) at Nakanoshima Cross, the Nakanoshima
We will conclude a business collaboration agreement with the Future Medical Promotion Organization (Chairman: Yoshiki Sawa), which operates “Qross”.
Through collaborative activities, both organizations aim to become the center of the local network for the life science industry in the Kansai area, as well as serve as a link with the global network. *The entire event will be open to the press, and you will be able to ask questions to representatives of both organizations after the agreement is signed. We would like to ask all members of the press to interview us*

He assumed his current position after serving as Chief Professor of Cardiovascular and Respiratory Surgery (First Department of Surgery). He serves as a scientific advisor at Kyoto University’s iPS Cell Research Institute, chairman of the Japan Society for Regenerative Medicine, and professor emeritus at the Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine.
Appointed director. He has received numerous awards and commendations, including the Medal with Purple Ribbon, the Science and Technology Award from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award, and the Japan Medical Association Medical Award.

Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1984. During his university days, he worked on launching businesses and promoting student ventures. After graduating from Nagoya University School of Medicine in 2008, Completed initial training at JR Tokyo General Hospital, studied home medical care at Shinjuku Hiro Clinic, and worked on building a nighttime emergency house call system.
In the 46th House of Representatives general election held in December 2012, he ran for the first time on the recommendation of the Liberal Democratic Party and was elected for the first time as the nation’s youngest member of the House of Representatives. In 2017, he became the youngest Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Finance in history. In 2019, he established a council of members promoting startups, regenerative medicine, and health tech, and became the executive director. In September 2023, in the second Kishida reshuffled cabinet, he became the youngest Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology at the age of 39.

About cooperation agreement
Ahead of the 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo, the life science industry is attracting increasing attention, and on June 29 this year, Osaka will open the “Nakanoshima International Center for Future Medical Care”, which will consist of hospitals, offices, laboratories, etc. Qross” was born. By combining the center’s concentration and functions with the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s commercialization support functions in the life science field,*
A new global network hub in the same field will be born in the Kansai region*. In the future, the two companies will work together to disseminate information on future medicine, build a startup ecosystem, and jointly promote projects related to overseas collaboration.
Through these initiatives, we will act as a hub for local networks, promoting new entry into the life sciences field by players from a variety of fields, aiming to achieve growth for the industry as a whole, and creating a growth-oriented economy that aims to create dynamism in the economy, including startups.
