The 6th GGGP2024 will be held as the title “Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Versus 2”, which has been in operation since June 2023.
It will be held using “Overboost”. This title is an arcade game developed by Bandai Namco Amusement, and is the latest work in the “EXVS. series” of team battle action games based on the Gundam series. This event was held as the after-party of the prize-giving tournament held on July 15th, and was held at Ariake Central Tower Hall & Conference by soul age.
The event is divided into two venues, 4th floor Hall A “Rookie Side” and Hall B “Veteran Side”, and competes against each other, and the venue with the most points at the end of all matches wins. Youtube on the day
It was also streamed for free on the GGGP channel, and was a big hit not only at the venue but also online.

The event started with an opening declaration by GGGP2024 special supporter Airi Tokita. This event featured five battles: “Legend Battle,” “Craftsman Battle,” “In-venue Kumite,” “In-venue Improvised Tag Team Battle,” and “General Battle.”
The first battle is “Legend Battle”. On July 15th, the team
“Yokozuna”, which won the GGGP2024 prize money tournament held at Ryogoku Kokugikan, and the generals from both sides formed a special tag team and clashed. The “veteran side” won 2-0 in a battle where they were able to read ahead because they knew the characteristics of their opponent, resulting in 20 points for the “new side” in Hall A and 60 points for the “veteran side” in Hall B.
The second showdown is the “Craftsman Battle”. Craftsman players who have reached aircraft proficiency mastery in a short period of one year of operation will compete against each other using their favorite aircraft. 10 people each participated from Hall A “Rookie Side” and Hall B “Veteran Side”. The team formation seemed to be anticipating and considering each other’s orders, and the competition had begun even before the performance started. Because the battle was a gathering of only experienced aircraft, there were many impressive matches that took advantage of the aircraft’s characteristics. The “veteran side” won 4-1, giving a total of 160 points (Hall A “new side” gained 140 points) and 260 points to Hall B “veteran side” for a total of 320 points.
The third showdown was an “in-venue kumite” between game caster Nakao and professional gamer Kazunoko, which was an exhibition event that would not be reflected in the points for either side. We played three matches at each hole with the visitors, and the result was 2 wins and 4 losses, but Nakao expressed his regret, saying, “Thank you for giving us this opportunity.” However, he expressed his gratitude to the players and venue who coached him.
The fourth showdown is an “instant tag team match at the venue.” Players selected by lottery from advance entries will form a tag team. A new side and a veteran side will face each other for as long as they can. The ability to work together as an impromptu team with the people at the venue will be key. In the third match of the “In-venue Improvised Tag Team” match, Zaku Nagata and Leosig formed an impromptu tag team, and Leosig’s team gained momentum and won 3-0. The “new side” won, with Hall A “new side” receiving 90 points and Hall B “veteran side” receiving 30 points.
The final showdown of this event is the “General Battle”. A new side and a veteran side, each “general” and “reliable partner appointed by the general” team up and fight 2on2. The veteran side has been paired with Kotangu, who was nominated by Zaku Nagata, and the up-and-coming side has been paired with Njima, who was nominated by Leosig.
The veteran side took the lead in the first game, but the
up-and-coming side took the lead in the second game. Then, in the third match, the up-and-coming side continued to fight with two “00 Gundam 7SG” from the second match and grabbed victory.
All competitions are over and it’s time to announce the results. GGGP2024 special supporter Airi Tokita took the stage and announced the points for each side. At the end of the first half, the “veteran side” had a 160 point lead, but the “new side” won three
consecutive games in an impromptu tag team match at the venue, and the “new side” won the general battle, making the difference in points narrower. The “Veteran Side”, which received 86 supportive comments during the on-site support project, received 50 points, the “New Side” received 460 points, and the “Veteran Side” received 550 points. The winner of the GGGP2024 after-party was the “Veteran Side”. ”. The performers also commented with deep emotion while looking back on the past year, and the event to conclude GGGP2024 ended with great excitement at both venues.
