“EX THEATER” which held additional performances last year
Ichiro Furudate will return to “ROPPONGI”! This year, we will be holding “Ichiro Furudate Talking Blues” for 3 days in Tokyo. The final day, December 7th (Saturday), is a turning point in the life of Ichiro Furudate, his 70th birthday. What kind of words will be spoken?
* ■What is “Talking Blues”? *
Based on the concept of “playing the blues through talk,” Ichiro Furudate talks non-stop for two hours with one microphone. A torrent of words illuminates the problems faced by modern society and the thoughts of the people living there.
It was held constantly from the first time in 1988 to the 16th time in 2003, and then took a temporary hiatus from 2004 after appearing on “Hodo Station.” EX in 2014, the first time in 11 years.
The 17th one-night-only performance was held at THEATER ROPPONGI, and was the only stage performance during my time as a “Hosute” caster. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, in August 2020, he held a live performance without an audience for the first time in six years, in December of the same year, he held a live performance with an audience, and in 2021, he will conduct his first national tour. Since then, this event has been held every year as Furudate’s life’s work, and has become so popular that tickets for each performance sell out immediately.
