The “Nankai Trough Earthquake Temporary Information (Giant Earthquake Warning)” announced on August 8, 2024 states that although the government has ended its call for special caution, there is still a possibility of large-scale earthquakes occurring in the future. Therefore, what actions should we take at the venue to prepare for a Nankai Trough Earthquake, from the time an earthquake occurs to the time we evacuate? You can enjoy learning about disaster prevention and mitigation through various hands-on experiences, companies at the forefront of disaster prevention will be participating, and you will also be able to enjoy the stage performance of popular Asahi Broadcasting TV and radio programs.

* [About Moshimo Project] *
This project was launched in March 2021, marking 10 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
It is sponsored by three organizations: Shibuya City Tourism Association, Shibuya Mirai Design, and Kokumin Kyosai Coop -Zenrosai-. If an earthquake directly hits the capital, many transportation systems will stop, approximately 5 million people will be unable to return home, approximately 3 million people will be evacuated, and there will be food shortages. It is also said that when an unexpected disaster occurs, as many as 75% of people stop thinking and are unable to take appropriate action. “What if” is something that will definitely happen “someday”. However, if you prepare for the “what if”, your future will change dramatically. This project is set in Shibuya, where a diverse range of people gather, including those who live, work, and play, and aims to create a resilient city by thinking and preparing what each person can do in case of a “what if” day. This is an initiative aimed at.
