Joint project by Guam Tourism Authority Japan Office and Horiprocom: Guam’s official V-Tuber is born!
*~ Delve deeper into Guam’s charm and culture on YouTube. The voices are provided by the two Pumpkin Potato Fries. ～*
Guam National Tourism Organization Japan Office (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) and Horiprocom (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo) have started a new public relations project using V-Tubers to spread the appeal of Guam in Japan. Masu. Although Guam is the closest American beach resort to Japan, it still has many unknown charms, including the Chamorro culture.
In this project, V-tubers certified by the Guam Tourism Authority will provide basic information about Guam as well as charms that are not yet widely known. The cutely designed characters convey the charms of Guam with humor, sharp humor, and humorous humor, while also delving deeper into each topic to deepen viewers’ understanding. Through this, we aim to create a sense of familiarity among tourists and further increase their interest in Guam.
*Introduction of official V-tuber characters*
*Nizuku*
Virtual coconut born in virtual Guam. Although I have never been to Guam and have little knowledge about it, I plan to learn about its charms and spread the word. The name “Nizuku” comes from the Chamorro word “Niyok” which means coconut.
*Manha*
Virtual coconut was born earlier than Nizuku. He has a strong love for Guam and is well versed in Chamorro culture, and in order to take Nizuku to the real Guam, he introduces him to the charms of Guam and persuades him. The name “Manha” comes from the Chamorro word “Manha” meaning young green coconut.
* V-tuber’s “inner person” *
V-Tuber’s “Nakahito” is performed by two members of the comedy duo “Pumpkin Potato Fries” affiliated with Horiprocom. Mr. Panpotetani is in charge of the voice of “Nizuku” and Mr. Yamana is in charge of the voice of “Manha”.
