“Koisake Kawagoe 2024” will be held to connect people with SAKE! *We will be holding our first sake event at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, which is widely known as the god of matchmaking*
Miss SAKE Saitama Tournament Executive Committee (6-23-4-2F Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo Fam Co., Ltd.
Lab., Representative Director Mai Morita) will be holding “Koisake Kawagoe 2024″ on Saturday, September 28, 2024 as a co-hosted event with the ANDON Walk Executive Committee in kimono.
Sake has been an important item that connects people since ancient times. Enjoy your relationship with alcohol at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, which is also famous as the god of matchmaking.
We mainly carry sake breweries and sake brands from Saitama, so please enjoy new encounters with sake and people.
At this event, we will be offering a special glass of sake to those who come in kimono, even if you are not attending ANDON Walk in kimono.

Saitama Prefecture is one of the best sake breweries in the country, ranking 4th in Japan in terms of sake shipments and consumption. In fact, Saitama Prefecture is a sake producing region that
consistently ranks among the top in Japan in terms of sake shipments. *There are 32 breweries* in the prefecture, each producing a unique flavor.
Saitama, where two major rivers flow, the Arakawa and the Tone River, has long been known as an area with delicious spring water.
Additionally, because the water is generally soft, the quality of the sake is soft, and many of the sakes are mellow and pleasant on the palate.
On the day of the event, a total of 8 sake breweries and sake brands representing Saitama Prefecture are scheduled to exhibit.

About the joint event “ANDON Walk in Kimono”
This event “Koisake Kawagoe 2024” is a co-sponsored event with “ANDON Walk in Kimono”.
Kawagoe, which developed as a castle town, is home to many traditional buildings, shrines and temples, and historic sites, including a storehouse-style townscape.
In addition to these historical and cultural heritage sites, Kawagoe is full of atmosphere and attracts many tourists, including the Bell of Time (listed as one of Japan’s top 100 soundscapes to preserve) and Kashiya Yokocho (listed as top 100 scented landscapes). It’s a busy place to visit.
In this Kimono ANDON Walk, at dusk in autumn, you will stroll through the townscape that retains the atmosphere of the Edo period, relying on the light of paper lanterns (paper lanterns).
After your walk, pray at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine. After that, I will give you the amulet.
Those who participate in this event will receive a ticket (for one glass) of Koisake Kawagoe as a sacred sake after visiting Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine*.

I am active on a daily basis as a representative of my hometown Saitama Prefecture. Kawagoe is a bustling city in Saitama Prefecture, and is a place I often visited with my grandparents, so it feels like my second hometown. I am very happy to be able to participate in this event in Kawagoe, which is full of memories.
We would like to use this as an opportunity to share not only sake, but also the charms of Saitama Prefecture with as many people as possible.

As SAKE, he serves as an ambassador for the sake industry, and not only holds sake-related events in Japan, but also conducts sake awareness activities in 11 cities in 7 countries, including Monaco, Brazil, the United States, and France.

Recently, he has been working with sake lovers to produce sake at the hands-on sake project “sense of SAKE.”

Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine is a very important and meaningful shrine to me. I have been praying and participating in festivals since I was a child, and have always felt the breath of Hikawa Shrine in my life. I am very happy to be able to hold a sake event at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine.
Sake has been cherished as a sacred sake since ancient times, and people have a deep affinity for it.
