“Team DESCENTE Special Event” will be held Guests: Volleyball player Yuki Ishikawa, Yuto Kai, swimmer Akira Honda
*“Multi-sport” experience session where you can experience multiple sports* On August 26th (Monday), DESCENTE Co., Ltd. held a multi-sport experience event “Team” for junior high school students in Toshima Ward at the Minami-Nagasaki Sports Center in Toshima Ward.
DESCENTE* Special Event” was held.
As we promote activities to realize children’s well-being and increase their motivation for lifelong sports, we believe that it is important for elementary and junior high school students to experience multiple sports, rather than focusing on one sport, in order to improve their future competitiveness. We promote multi-sport activities based on the idea that it will lead to increased strength and expand the
possibilities of lifelong sports. This time, we invited our contracted athletes as lecturers, and we held a talk show with the keywords of multi-sports, featuring experiences in volleyball, swimming, and breaking, and a leading multi-sport researcher as the moderator. In order to spread the appeal of multisports, we will continue to hold multisports events for elementary and junior high schools in Toshima Ward, where our Tokyo office is located.

* ■Volleyball player Yuki Ishikawa comment*
“I want people to play a variety of sports, and I think that will lead to their futures.” I think it’s important.Multi-sport is popular in Italy, and we sometimes include close-up soccer moves before volleyball games.I also took baseball and swimming classes when I was young. I used to attend volleyball, but I came to play volleyball after experiencing a variety of sports. There are many things to learn and experience from other sports, so junior high school students also have the opportunity to play various sports on their own. I hope that by creating something, people can find something that suits them or feel something.”

* ■Volleyball player Yuto Kai comment*
“I’m happy to have had the opportunity to be involved in a
multi-sport experience event.I’m not very good at teaching, but I was happy to be able to share what I’ve experienced with so many people.” I realized once again that it is difficult to teach.First of all, I was thinking that I would like everyone to enjoy the competition as much as I enjoy it.I learned something for the first time today. I would like to continue to take the initiative in participating if I have the opportunity in the future.”

* ■Comment from swimmer Akira Honda*
“I’m grateful to be able to participate in an event like this.I’m not only interested in swimming, but also other sports.Regardless of the type of event, I think sports are really fun.Today, It was my first time doing breaking with everyone, and it was a lot of fun, and I had never tried it before, so it was refreshing.I was excited to try it again and practice. Regarding swimming, I served as an instructor with the intention of getting them to swim and understand the sport of swimming.I learned a lot from this event as well.

* ■Sponsored: Toshima Ward, Mayor Miyuki Takagiwa’s comments to participants* “I think multi-sport, where children experience multiple sports from an early age, is great for improving their athletic ability and preventing injuries. In addition, I would be happy if you could practice multi-sport.Toshima Ward has the smallest park area among the 23 wards and has the highest population density in Japan, which is why we are now offering urban sports that can be done in a relatively small space. I would like to create opportunities for people to experience new sports that can be added to the existing sports.I would like to continue to make Toshima City a place where residents, especially children, can have a fulfilling sports experience.” ◆Inquiries from customers DESCENTE JAPAN Co., Ltd.
