[JAF Kyoto] Let’s master it! How to safely install a child seat *“Child seat installation inspection” held!*

Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) Kyoto Branch (Branch Manager Nakamura Masato) will conduct a “Child Seat Installation Inspection” at the same branch (Minami-ku, Kyoto City) on Wednesday, September 18th.
In this training session, JAF staff who are certified as child seat instructors check the installation status of participants’ child seats and give advice on how to properly install them yourself.
According to the “Nationwide Survey on Child Seat Usage (2023)*” conducted by JAF jointly with the National Police Agency, 38.1% of child seats were misused because they were not properly installed, such as when the waist belt was not tightened enough.
Additionally, 47.9% of children were seated correctly in child seats, indicating that seating conditions were also an issue.
JAF Kyoto Branch calls for the proper use of child seats for the safety of children.
