[Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture] We will hold “Ago Hina” to celebrate the Chrysanthemum Festival

Akizuki is the Little Kyoto of Chikuzen, which has a history as a castle town and a variety of natural scenery throughout the four seasons.
Asakura City holds the “Ancient Capital Akizuki Hina Doll Tour” in the Akizuki area from February to March every year.
We are planning to hold the event in February next year as well, with the Asakura Tourism Association playing a central role, as well as local businesses.
In preparation for this, we will be exhibiting hina dolls as “Later Hina” during the Chrysanthemum Festival on September 9th.
“Go-Hina” is a custom that was popular during the Edo period as a prayer for health and longevity, and in modern times it is also popular as a “Hina Doll’s Festival for adults.”
On that day, approximately 600 Hina dolls will be lined up on the stairs in front of the Nagaya Gate of the Akizuki Castle ruins to welcome the arrival of autumn with Hina dolls. Before the autumn leaves, out-of-season Hina dolls decorate the autumn moon. Please come and visit us.
