Nagoya company achieves 300 stores in 9 years Nationwide “Blue Sky Laundry” holds large-scale commemorative party
*GIV Co., Ltd. reaches 300 stores with overwhelming growth, proof of trust and support spreading nationwide*
GIV Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Naka-ku, Nagoya, Representative Director: Suzuki) We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a large-scale commemorative party in September 2024 to commemorate the nationwide coin laundry “Blue Sky Laundry” reaching 300 stores.
The achievement of 300 Blue Sky Laundry stores was made possible by G.I.B. Co., Ltd., headquartered in Nagoya, which provides
community-based services and the support and cooperation of customers and stakeholders. The first store opened in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture in June 2015, and in just nine years, we have grown to 300 stores nationwide. This incredible expansion has been made possible through the continued support and cooperation of our customers, owners, and stakeholders. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for their warm support and trust.

At this party, we will express our gratitude to the owners and everyone involved who have supported our growth, and share our progress so far and future prospects. This event, which will be held at the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel, is expected to have over 400 participants, and will feature a special guest, DAIKI, who will perform an illusion show. Through this event, we will take another step towards future growth and further strengthen our ties with the local community. We appreciate your continued support.

* ■The path to achieving 300 stores *
Blue Sky Laundry is operated as the FC headquarters by G.I.B. Co., Ltd., headquartered in Nagoya, and started with its first store in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. Since then, we have grown rapidly by continuing to provide locally-based services, reaching 300 stores nationwide. This rapid growth has been made possible by the growing demand for laundry and strong ties to the local community.
* ■Contributing to local communities and forming new communities * Blue Sky Laundry goes beyond laundry services and contributes to community building in local communities. We support local families through activities to reuse children’s clothing, and as of the end of August 2024, we have set up free reuse booths at 89 stores nationwide. Furthermore, we have concluded disaster agreements with local governments across the country and have opened stores that function as local infrastructure in the event of a disaster. We have installed LP gas equipment and a portable generator, and it also serves as a support base for the community in times of emergency.

Blue Sky Laundry will continue to innovate, aiming for 500 more stores. We will strengthen our ties with local communities, enhance our functionality as an infrastructure that can be useful in times of disaster, and provide safe and comfortable laundry services

1. Opening a disaster-response laundry
G.I.B. Co., Ltd. has developed a “disaster-response laundromat” that can be used as a temporary evacuation center in the event of a disaster, with coin laundries useful for daily life in normal times, and currently 183 out of 297 stores nationwide are functioning as disaster-response laundries.
2. Concluded disaster agreements with local governments and community associations nationwide and conducted joint disaster prevention drills in the event of a disaster.
In order to strengthen our support system in times of disaster, we have concluded disaster agreements in 51 locations across the country. We will continue to expand our cooperation with local governments and neighborhood associations, aiming to provide support for a safe and comfortable life during disasters. We also regularly hold joint disaster prevention drills so that local communities and companies can cooperate and provide prompt support in the event of a disaster. 3. “Mottainai” is for someone. Children’s clothing collection/receipt booth set up at coin laundry
Blue Sky Laundry collects unwanted children’s clothes and provides them free of charge to families in need.As of the end of August 2024, reuse booths have been set up at 89 stores nationwide.
