Kansai International Airport KIX Cargo Cloud (truck management system for import cargo collection) will be introduced for the first time in Japan
Kansai Airports Co., Ltd. uses KIX Cargo Cloud to handle air cargo at Kansai International Airport.
We would like to inform you that we will be introducing cloud computing. KIX Cargo
Cloud is a management system for transport trucks when picking up imported cargo, and by sharing information on the cargo, vehicle, etc. scheduled to be picked up in advance among related parties, it is possible to reserve a time for cargo pick-up. This will not only minimize waiting time at the airport and improve the efficiency of operations throughout the cargo area, but will also help the airport respond to the 2024 logistics problem. In addition, we have changed the paper delivery that we have been doing so far.
By eliminating the need for face-to-face exchange of orders (delivery instructions), we are also able to go paperless and save the labor required for sending and receiving orders.
This system is targeted at handling companies, cargo handling companies, transportation companies, etc. that handle imported cargo, and trial operation will begin on October 23rd, with full-scale operation scheduled to begin on November 20th.
Kansai Airports Co., Ltd. will work with stakeholders to consider the future of air cargo operations, bring innovation to Japan’s air cargo industry, and work to improve the efficiency and quality of cargo handling.
