Rakuten Mobile launches new plan with guaranteed bandwidth for ultra-high-speed internet connection service “KŌSOKU Access” for corporate customers

Starting today, August 30th (Friday), Rakuten Mobile, Inc.
(hereinafter referred to as “Rakuten Mobile”) will launch the ultra-high-speed internet service “KŌSOKU” for corporate customers. As a new plan for “KŌSOKU Access”, a new plan that secures a certain amount of bandwidth is “KŌSOKU Access”.
We have started offering the “Premium Plan (Secured Bandwidth Type)” (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) (Note 1). For this service, you can choose a plan from two bands, 300Mbps and 1Gbps, depending on your usage situation.
“KŌSOKU
“Access” is an ultra-high-speed Internet service that avoids congestion caused by shared lines by laying dedicated optical fiber at each customer location, enabling comfortable communication in a wide area across the country (Note 2).
This service uses the conventional “KŌSOKU Access
By securing bandwidth according to the plan for communications under the Standard plan (best effort type), we reduce the risk of unstable communications. Rakuten Mobile regularly monitors the communication status of our customers, and when the bandwidth falls below the guaranteed bandwidth according to the plan, we provide stable communication speeds by taking measures such as increasing the customer’s dedicated line. Furthermore, we have a 24-hour, 365-day maintenance system, and in the event of a breakdown or problem, we can respond on-site or remotely.
With this service, you can choose a plan from two bands, 300Mbps and 1Gbps, depending on your usage needs. The 300Mbps plan secures 300Mbps of bandwidth for a monthly fee of 291,500 yen (tax included), with a maximum speed of 1Gbps. The 1Gbps plan secures 1Gbps of bandwidth for a monthly fee of 522,500 yen (tax included), with a maximum speed of 10Gbps, allowing you to enjoy stress-free communication at a low price (Note 3). Similar to the “Access Standard Plan (Best Effort Type),” if you use the service for two years or more, the initial cost and basic construction costs are essentially free (Note 4).

(Note 3) A separate administrative contract fee of 3,300 yen (tax included) will be charged. The minimum usage period is until the end of the 13th month from the month the service starts. If you cancel within the minimum usage period, you will be charged the monthly fee for the remaining months in one lump sum.
(Note 4) The initial cost and basic construction cost of 217,800 yen (tax included) will be paid in 24 installments, and the amount equivalent to the initial cost installment bill will be discounted from the monthly fee for 24 months. If you cancel within 2 years, you will be billed for the remaining installment balance in one lump sum.
