Living a safe life tomorrow and beyond “Disaster prevention measures for your home that you want to think about now”
*September issue of “Public Relations Tokyo”, which provides administrative information about Tokyo*
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government publishes a public information magazine, “Kōmu Tokyo”, on the 1st of every month to convey information necessary for the Tokyo government and the daily lives of Tokyo residents. The theme of the September issue is “disaster prevention.” The Noto Peninsula earthquake in January of this year also caused extensive damage, with many buildings collapsing. Additionally, on August 8th, there was an earthquake with its epicenter in the Hyuga-nada Sea, and special Nankai Trough earthquake information was also announced (calls ended on August 15th). At a time when concerns about large-scale earthquakes are increasing, we will introduce how to make your buildings earthquake-resistant and what you can do on a daily basis to keep yourself and your family safe.

Preparing for disasters through self-help and mutual assistance September issue collaboration
Our collaboration for the September issue is with illustrator America America. An illustration from the June 2022 issue of the architectural monthly magazine “Architectural Knowledge” was used by Public Relations Tokyo. The daily scenery seen from the balcony and the sunset seen from there. The colors and warm illustrations have a vaguely autumnal feel to them, reminding us of the gratitude for a peaceful daily life, and at the same time reminding us of the importance of disaster prevention measures to protect our daily lives.
