Beppu Onsen Bukkake Festival 2024 (commonly known as BOB2024) This is the largest festival ever, where you can enjoy eating and drinking with your friends while being bathed in approximately 1,000 tons of hot water and music.
More than 1,000 tons of hot spring water from the local Beppu hot springs will be prepared and released in a grand manner at Beppu Spa Beach!
A music stage will be set up at the venue, and music will always be played by celebrity DJs.
There will also be many food and beverage booths, so please enjoy food and drinks from local restaurants.
Despite being held for the first time in 2023, approximately 4,000 people gathered in one day.
It was a highly satisfying event, with not only excitement at the venue but also feedback on various SNS such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube, with approximately 90% of participants saying they would like to participate next year.
From Beppu to the world! A festival that promotes the culture of hot springs Beppu boasts the highest volume of hot spring water in the world for bathing. Moreover, depending on the location and time of day, there are some hot springs that cannot be used up and are discarded into the gutters. This project began with the aim of taking advantage of this and creating an event that would attract people from all over the world. In addition to boosting tourism businesses such as local restaurants, inns, and hotels, we will also sell tickets through hometown tax payments, contributing to the promotion of Beppu, Japan’s proud hot spring resort.

The idea for “Beppu Onsen Bukkake Festival” was born when I met with Beppu City’s current mayor, Nagano City.
Last year was the first time the event was held, and there was only a little over two months to prepare, so there was a lot of anxiety about preparations and attracting customers, but when we opened the lid, about 4,000 people gathered at Beppu Spa Beach.
We received a lot of comments such as “It was the most fun festival of the year” and “I want to participate again”, so in 2024 we will power up the event and hold it for 2 days. This is the only festival where you can splash over 1000 tons of hot spring water!
Be sure to visit Beppu on August 31st and September 1st, as you can enjoy a different level of fun as you listen to music, dance, and bathe in hot spring water all over your body!
