In line with this, the Japanese government has published the “Action Plan on Business and Human Rights” and the “Guidelines for Respecting Human Rights in Responsible Supply Chains,” and the Tokyo Stock Exchange has added “Proactive Respect for Human Rights” to its Corporate Governance Code. *
There is growing interest and momentum in respecting human rights in Japan as well. *
