[First night event at Makinohara More] “End of Summer Bon Odori Festival” will be held on Saturday, September 14th!
*The first Bon Odori festival to be held at Makinohara More! * The shopping center Makinohara More (operated by Chiba New Town Center Co., Ltd.) in Inzai City, Chiba Prefecture will hold a Bon Odori festival on Saturday, September 14, 2024, featuring Inzai’s
traditional “Inzai Ondo” and “Kinoshita Ondo” as its main content. We will hold an event. The Bon Odori dance is held with the cooperation of the local Inzai Ondo Preservation Society in order to deepen ties with the community and preserve traditional culture. Additionally, there will be a Hawaiian hula show by a group from a local hula dance school, and a raffle where you can win wonderful prizes. There will be a diverse lineup of fairs, food trucks, and food stalls run by local vendors. Overall MC is BAYFM DJ
KOUSAKU and guest DJ will also appear. We aim to create an event where you can enjoy a casual, fun, and delicious evening at the end of summer.
* Let’s dance Inzai Ondo! *
This is the first time the Bon Odori festival has been held at Makinohara Moa. The program will include songs that are easy for the general public to participate in, focusing on the traditional Inzai Ondo, the Inzai Ondo, and the Kinoshita Ondo, which is located in Kinoshita, which is adjacent to the Makinohara area where the facility is located. The dancers are the Inzai Ondo Preservation Society. Japanese drums will also appear, and a powerful traditional Bon dance will be performed.
■What is Inzai Ondo Preservation Society?
It was established by local volunteers at the time of the merger of Honno Village and Inzai City in 2010, with the desire to spread the word about the long-loved Inzai Ondo. The Hawaiian hula show will be held at the local hula dance school “Hula Studio.”
We will hold a full-fledged hula stage, centered on the students of “Leila” and “Rainbow Tiare Hula.” We practice hard and dance with all our heart in order to bring the traditional Hawaiian hula to you.
In the participatory hula dance project, visitors will be given a lecture on simple choreography and will be able to experience the joy of dancing together. This is a special stage where you can enjoy the fusion of the traditional Japanese dance “Hula” with the traditional Japanese “Yagura” in the background. As a bridge connecting Japan, Hawaii, and local culture, we will deliver a wonderful time to everyone.

The “Fun Lottery” offers luxurious prizes centered on items sponsored by tenants entering the facility.
