Start of internship project sponsored by Utsunomiya City to foster university students’ motivation and interest in starting a business *Currently recruiting 6 university students for a 10-day internship program to develop entrepreneurial spirit*

Utsunomiya City (Mayor: Eiichi Sato) will implement an internship program at startup companies in the city for students in the city, with the aim of fostering entrepreneurial momentum and discovering young entrepreneurs. The NPO Tochigi Youth Supporters Network (Representative Director: Toshimune Iwai) will be in charge of operational assistance for this project. *
* ■Background and purpose of implementation*
In order to create industries that will drive the local economy in the future, Utsunomiya City is working to foster entrepreneurship among young people, mainly by supporting the growth of startups and holding lecture seminars for high school and university students. In order to produce more startups, it is necessary to strengthen practical support for young people who are taking on the challenge of starting up. Therefore, in this project, through a 10-day internship program, students will be able to experience the reality of startup management and the thoughts of business owners, providing a place to learn startup management in a practical manner.

[About the project]
Forests occupy 67% of Japan’s land area. Thanks to human intervention and management, forests have become wood, and have brought blessings to our lives, such as natural dam functions and carbon dioxide absorption functions. However, the number of forestry workers continues to age and decrease year by year. Under these circumstances, there are young people who have entered the field with a new way of thinking in order to regain the value of mountains once again. However, there are no human resources who can record mountain work in images or videos, and forestry work is rarely seen in daily life. Therefore, in this internship, in order to convey the appeal of forestry, we will work together with representative Mr. Nakamura to visualize and visualize forestry sites. This is a project that exposes you to the practical aspects of startup management.
