Overview

The original novel of the award-winning work has been made into a full-color vertical reading manga. Indent Co., Ltd. NHN, which operates the manga app “comico” with over 32 million downloads worldwide, has announced that the new series “The Hero’s Daughter Avoids the Death Flag” (original work by Mint Uzuki, line art by mihe, names by Ichinose Fuji) will be serialized on the manga app “comico” from Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 18:00. Additionally, a campaign offering 20% bonus coins on purchases will be held until 18:00 on Tuesday, September 17th.

About the Contest

The “Vertical Color Manga Original Contest” is an initiative of the “Original Manga Recruitment Contest” provided by indent to companies. It is a creative contest co-sponsored with comico. The “Original Romance Fantasy Work (Competition Type) Category” invites writers to expand their imaginations and create a continuation of the story based on the work proposal created by the comico editorial department.

Story Overview

The new series is based on the original novel written by Mint Uzuki, who won a special award in the “Original Romance Fantasy Work (Competition Type) Category.” Mihe provided the line drawings, and Ichinose Fuji was responsible for the names. The work has been made into a full-color, vertically readable manga.

Story Synopsis

For the first 12 years of her life, Greta was treated horribly as a slave. Just as she is about to be sold off, she is rescued by Duke Victor Lindhagen, who claims to be her father, and his son Ricardo, and taken to the duke’s house. Just when she feels relieved, thinking she is saved, her memories of her previous life return along with a severe headache, and she realizes she has been reincarnated as “Greta Lindhagen,” the worst villainess in the otome game she played in her previous life.

In the game, Greta threatens the nation due to her personal interests and is ultimately killed by her brother-in-law Ricardo. She is determined to avoid the same fate in this life and sets out to change her future.
