Against the backdrop of the declining birthrate and aging population, the problem of labor shortages in the manufacturing industry is becoming increasingly serious. Although automation is progressing in many processes, the reality is that there are still many sites where transportation work still relies on manual labor.
As you know, transport operations do not directly contribute to production. For this reason, automation of transportation work has been put on the back burner until now. However, now that the labor shortage has become chronic, transportation automation, which replaces human labor, is attracting attention in order to free up limited human resources to focus on more important tasks.
Currently, AGVs and AMRs are often used to automate transportation operations, but a solution in which AMR pulls a trolley is relatively easy to introduce and can improve efficiency in a short period of time. However, in that case, the cost and effort of replacing existing carts to match AMR specifications was an issue.
The solution to this problem is the “MiR250Hook” that we are proposing. “MiR250Hook” is a highly versatile towed AMR that can be used with various shapes of trolleys as is. In fact, multiple types of carts, such as basket carts and hand carts, are often used for inter-process transportation in the manufacturing industry, and we have received many requests to automate transportation by using them as is.
In this webinar, we will introduce the features and benefits of introducing “MiR250Hook” in a 30-minute mini-seminar format, along with actual implementation examples.
