On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Uber Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Uber Japan) will collaborate with Times Mobility Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Times Mobility) and Royal Limousine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Royal Limousine) to become Japan’s first company. We have announced the launch of a car-sharing program for ride-sharing drivers. Trial operation will begin on the same day, with the aim of full-scale operation in 2024. Through this initiative, we will provide an opportunity for people who do not own a private car to become rideshare drivers and support taxi companies’ recruitment efforts. This initiative will start with two cars in Yurakucho, Tokyo, and plans to gradually expand the number of car sharing locations within the target area.
