[Totsuka Ward, Yokohama City] Visualize flood risk in your living space! “Entire town hazard map” has been installed.
In order to visually check the local flood risk “in the town” and to make it a personal matter, we have installed the “Whole Town Hazard Map” on telephone poles in Totsuka Ward. If you see it near your home, please check it out and use it as an opportunity to think about evacuation actions in the event of a flood, such as creating your own timeline.
* ■What is “Marugoto Town Hazard Map”?*
This is an initiative recommended by the Ministry of Land,
Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism that treats the entire region as a hazard map and displays information on flood damage in the “town”, which is the living space.
* ■Display contents*
The maximum possible inundation depth in the event of a river overflowing is displayed using signs and blue tape.
* ■Installation location*
100 locations in areas with estimated flood depth of 1.0m or more in basins such as Kashio River, Hirado Nagatani River, Akuwa River, etc.
