*Processing*
Trained craftsmen carefully handle each fish, carefully steam them while checking their condition, and then hand-grill them. This product has been steamed for a longer time than other Kabayaki products made by Sakiya, making it fluffy, soft, and packed with flavor, making it easy to eat for everyone from children to the elderly.
The charcoal is made using traditional methods using hardwoods cut from the forests of Kannabe (Hyogo).
* How to eat *
It arrives in small vacuum packs, so just heat it up in a hot water bath when you want to eat it.
It also has plenty of sauce, so be sure to eat it with rice. Carefully processed by craftsmen
Soft and fluffy due to deep steaming
Plenty of sauce in the small pack
Perfect for one bowl of rice
*Package*
For the lid, we use cypress cut from thinned wood processed in-house. If you turn it over, it can also be used as a plate, and we think it would be great if it added color to your dining table.
The package is wrapped around the box like a sash and has an image of an eel swimming lively in a river.
The cypress-scented lid can also be used as a plate.

◼︎About Sashiya
In addition to the “Mori no Unagi” that the A-Zero Group has grown, processed and sold in-house, we also purchase carefully selected domestically farmed eels, process and sell them in kabayaki. In the future, we plan to expand beyond eel to include freshwater fish dishes. Currently, we are selling products and providing menus at our online shop (A-Zero Natural Capital Division Online Shop) and at the A-Zero Group’s directly managed store (BASE 101%) in Nishiawakura Village.
Nashiya is also a member of the Unagi Eating Project (Unatsugu Project), which was founded with the desire to pass on the culture of enjoying delicious eel to the next generation while preserving resources and the environment.*
10% of the sales of all products will be used for activities to increase the number of wild Japanese eels. *
* Eel eating project (Unatsugu Project)*
This project was launched not to stop people from eating eel, but to find ways to preserve eel while still eating it, and to connect eel to the future both as “food” and “Japanese culture.” Researchers, experts, eel specialty restaurants, and ordinary eel eaters are all working together to try to increase the number of wild Japanese eels. A-Zero Group serves as the administrative office of the Unatsugu Project.
