Unitas Co., Ltd. and programming school “DPro” begin business partnership *-A new step towards supporting the career of inexperienced engineers and resolving the shortage of human resources-*
Unitas Co., Ltd. [Head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo, Representative director: Hosokawa]
Akio] (hereinafter referred to as Unitas) is DIVIC Co., Ltd. [Head office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Noro], which operates the programming school “DPro”.
Hiroyoshi] (hereinafter referred to as Daibic) started a business partnership in August 2024. Through this partnership, we will support the first step towards finding employment as an IT engineer and strengthen our efforts to solve the serious problem of lack of IT engineers in Japan.
* ■Background and purpose of the partnership*
The IT industry continues to face a serious shortage of human resources, and is expected to grow by 166% by 2030, but it is estimated that there will be a shortage of 790,000 engineers responsible for DX. In particular, there is an urgent need to quickly train inexperienced engineers and produce a large number of people who can immediately work. Recently, the number of job openings for inexperienced engineers has been increasing, but there are also many applicants with low skills. As a result, there are some cases where people end up changing jobs to jobs in fields surrounding engineering, such as call center or technical support jobs, rather than development engineers, and are unable to start their careers as engineers. For this reason, in order to fulfill the wishes of job seekers, Unitas uses real information from the field (word of mouth) and provides human resources services that eliminate mismatches between companies and job seekers based on our unique AI analysis. We have helped many job seekers successfully change jobs and have met the hiring needs of companies. We also provide comprehensive support, including career diagnosis, reskilling support, Japanese language skills support, and visa support.
On the other hand, “DPro” operated by Daibic provides programming education specialized for inexperienced people. The school’s feature is that it is an online school that prepares a curriculum that allows you to learn from upstream to downstream processes, implements and verbalizes it in the same development environment as professionals, and cultivates practical skills. The original app development that we create as a result of our studies is well received by recruiting companies, and we have produced many talented people who can be involved in development projects from the beginning of their career change.
Through this business alliance, we will be able to leverage the strengths of both companies and mutually complement each other in helping job seekers find their desired job types.
■Contents of business alliance
*Strengthening mutual support for reskilling and employment* Based on the career diagnosis at Unitas, we introduce appropriate training programs to job seekers who require reskilling support. We provide employment support for human resources who can immediately work.
*Curriculum collaboration*
The two companies will jointly develop a curriculum to help students acquire programming skills suitable for practical use, with the aim of preparing students for immediate use.
* Career path suggestion*
We provide a support program for inexperienced people to efficiently build a career as an IT engineer, and propose a variety of career paths.
* From Hiroyoshi Noro, Representative Director of Daibic*
Since our company’s founding, we have been working as a programming school to create a place where people with no programming experience can definitely take on the challenge of finding employment as IT engineers. Through this business alliance, we hope to work with Unitas to create a path for inexperienced engineers to successfully change jobs. In particular, we will have more opportunities to consult with people whose skills are not yet matched by companies, and by drawing out their potential through our programming school, we will increase the number of successful models in the world that can match companies.
From Unitas Representative Director Akio Hosokawa
As a recruitment company specializing in inexperienced engineers, we have been in contact with over 1,000 job seekers a year, regardless of Japanese or foreign nationality, and have been working to support them in starting their careers as engineers. . However, there are many cases where people give up mid-way due to their skill level or age. We believe that this business alliance is a new first step toward realizing our company’s vision of “everyone, no matter their age, can aspire to become an engineer.” I would like to work together with Daibic and share our thoughts as one.
