This time, Horie Horie, who is affiliated with TANK Co., Ltd. (Head office location: Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Yuichi Imai), is active as a lifesaver.

Championships
At the 2024 (Life Saving World Championships 2024), we won the “Beach Flags Men’s Division” on the final day of the competition held on September 1st.

Born September 14, 1994 in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture. Graduated from Fukagawa Daishi Junior High School in Koto Ward, Tokyo. Graduated from Saitama Prefectural Urawa Higashi High School. While attending school, he belonged to the soccer club. After entering the International Budo University, he encountered lifesaving competitions and studied under Professor Toshiharu Yamamoto, a pioneer in the Japanese lifesaving world, and became interested in lifesaving competitions. He practiced diligently every day, training so intensely that the white sand became black and the area residents called it “Horie Michi.” From the following year, he won the Beach Flags Intercollegiate Championship three times in a row until his
graduation.
Even after joining the Japanese national team, he continued to excel in international competitions, and in April 2024, he became the first Japanese male to win the Australian Open Championship in 23 years at the beach flags lifesaving competition, and is now the world champion.
