NON STYLE’s Akira Ishida was the workshop lecturer, and Shishigashira was the MC, giving a manzai lecture in preparation for the
“Announcement Live” to be held on Wednesday, September 11th. At the end of the lecture, the participating University of Tokyo students formed six pairs to come up with original manzai and perform the material. After the stories were finished, the instructor, Ishida of NON STYLE, gave each duo advice on stories and performance.

After a manzai lecture, the “Manzai Workshop – Unveiling Live” will be held at Yoshimoto ∞ Dome Stage I on Wednesday, September 11th, in which six University of Tokyo student duos will perform original manzai. In addition to NON STYLE’s Ishida, who served as a lecturer, and Shishigashira (MC), Gakutensoku’s Shuji Okuda will also appear at the “Unveiling Live”. It was wonderful to see each duo talking properly and creating material. The good thing about this event is that each person has a different level of interest, but the two people are willing to share and communicate. I hope this kind of communication continues in your life in the future. I think the most important point for next week’s live performance is having a “big voice,” so I hope you don’t get too anxious and do your best.

We also enjoyed and learned a lot from Mr. Ishida’s lecture. I was very interested in seeing what kind of stories the University of Tokyo students would create, and as expected, most of them were original. There were many words that were easy to understand, and I could feel that he was intelligent. When you’re in front of an audience at a live performance, you might get nervous and back away or lower your voice, but I think it’s a great opportunity, so I want you to enjoy it as much as you can.
