This is an important step in expanding career education and employment support for students with disabilities nationwide. “Iakare” is an online platform where students with disabilities can receive comprehensive career education and employment support while staying at home.
This platform was developed in collaboration with universities and companies across the country, and provides a variety of career support content. This increase in the number of participating universities shows that interest and efforts in supporting students with
disabilities are expanding.
This platform, which started with 22 universities including Kyoto University and six companies as initial participants, has since grown to include more than 50 participating universities, making it possible to support even more students with disabilities.
This will provide broader and higher quality career education to students with disabilities nationwide.
*Study sessions for university supporters were a success*
“Iakare” regularly holds study sessions not only for students but also for university supporters, with the aim of sharing information and improving skills among supporters. The success of this study group is evidence of the strengthening of the cooperative system among the participating universities, and shows that supporters are working together to improve the quality of support for students with disabilities.
*Various support content*
“Iakare” provides a variety of support content free of charge, including career workshops, roundtable discussions with corporate human resources personnel, and online internships where you can experience actual work. We also provide opportunities for information sharing and opinion exchange among participating universities to strengthen collaboration among supporters.
* Future outlook *
