“Lamp Shop Kusakari” was founded by Mr. Kusakari in October 1982 as a shop that sells and installs lamps. While working in Hachioji, Tokyo, he was approached by an acquaintance who was selling lamps, and in 1981 he moved to Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where his wife ran a Yamazaki bread store. Mr. Kusakari seems to have opened a lamp shop that specializes in lamps.
At that time, there were not many home improvement centers like there are in recent years in the Kamisu City area, and lamps were only sold at electronics stores, and there were no stores that specialized in lamps.

Since its founding, Mr. Kusakari has expanded his sales channels by traveling as far as Mito and Narita in Chiba Prefecture, since the Rokuko area has a small population and limited commercial area. By delivering products from home, we have become a valuable asset to the local community, and we have been working with great sincerity. However, in recent years, there has been an increase in the number of stores that carry lamps such as home centers, the emergence of products such as LED lamps that can be used for a long time, and the enactment of the Green Purchasing Law, which prioritizes purchasing environmentally friendly products and services. As a result, national institutions and large companies are increasingly switching from conventional lamps to LED lamps, and we have come to believe that we will need more human resources and sales capabilities in the future. that’s right.
For this reason, Mr. Kusakari, who has been running the store for a long time, 43 years since its founding in October 2024, has decided to look for a successor due to this change in social conditions. The family has already agreed to look for a successor, and Mr. Kusakari hopes to take over within six months to a year.
