Nippon Publishing Sales Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Keiji Okumura, abbreviated as Nichiban), a group company of Nichiban Group Holdings Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and Chairman: Eisaku Yoshikawa, Representative Director and President: Ken Togashi, hereinafter referred to as Nichiban GHD), Okamura Co., Ltd. (Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Masayuki Nakamura, hereinafter referred to as Okamura) will begin providing services for the jointly developed office plant factory package “City Farming with Okamura” from September 2024. “City Farming with Okamura” is an experiential communication package that combines Nippan’s “City Farming” service, which provides a living space with a plant factory where fresh strawberries can be harvested year-round in a compact package, and a workplace.

“City Farming” is a service that provides a rich community through agriculture for a living space separate from agriculture. (Official website: https://www.cityfarming-official.com/) We have been proposing various workplaces in offices, with the aim of widely deploying it in office spaces where we spend a lot of time on a daily basis. We will conclude a sales partnership agreement with Okamura on September 1, 2024, and begin providing “City Farming with Okamura.” In this package, we will carefully listen to your office issues and concerns and propose the optimal space and product usage starting with the introduction of “City Farming”. We also provide total support, including operations to maximize the effects after implementation. The goal is not to grow strawberries in the office, but to revitalize communication between employees and across departments through “taking care of” strawberries. In recent years, with the spread of hybrid work that combines office work and telework, an increasing number of companies are facing a lack of communication, and offices are required to have environments that encourage communication. This time, by collaborating with Okamura, which has proposed various ways of working and workplaces, including the creation of healthy spaces that aim to maintain and improve the physical and mental health of workers, we will collaborate with Okamura, which has proposed various ways of working and workplaces, including creating healthy spaces that aim to maintain and improve the physical and mental health of workers. We have also started outsourcing the manufacturing of the “City Farming” housing to Okamura. Utilizing the manufacturing technology of refrigerated showcases, a product of Okamura’s commercial environment business, we have improved usability and shortened delivery times. ■History so far Nippan and Okamura jointly started developing a menu to create new value for offices in August 2023. During development, “City Farming” was introduced on a trial basis at Okamura’s laboratory offices*1 “CO-EN LABO” (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) and “CO-Dō LABO”
(Minato-ku, Tokyo) to verify its effectiveness and establish a service provision system. We have been building. We also exhibited “City Farming” at “Okamura Grand Fair 2024” and “58th Supermarket Trade Show 2024” and confirmed customer needs. *1 Lab Office: An Okamura office that has been developed at multiple locations, each with a different concept, as a place to practice work style reform that proposes and demonstrates new work styles and environments.Introduced on a trial basis from August 2023. At “CO-EN LABO,” we actually verified the effectiveness of the system through employee surveys before and after its introduction, and verified the following effects.
