Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo, and completed the master’s program at the same university’s Graduate School of Information Science and Technology. Joined Goldman Sachs Securities in 2003. For the next 16 years, he engaged in trading in Japanese government bonds, yen interest rate derivatives, long-term foreign exchange, etc. He is also involved in the Bank of Japan’s interest rate benchmark reform.
