* [About Wings for Life Foundation] *
Wings for Life Foundation is a nonprofit spinal cord research foundation whose sole mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. Millions of people around the world suffer from spinal cord injuries, often as a result of car accidents or falls. Since 2004, we have funded life-changing research projects and clinical trials around the world, and while no cure has yet been found, we are making steady progress.
* [What is Wings for Life World Run] *
A running event that starts all over the world at the same time to raise funds for research aimed at discovering treatments for spinal cord injuries. 30 minutes after the start, the catcher car chases the runner in real life or on the app, and the goal is reached when the catcher car catches up with the runner. You can know not only the time and distance traveled, but also your ranking in the world. In addition to the appeal of running as a competition, it is also a fun event where you can wear costumes and run with your friends.
There are “App Runs,” where you use a smartphone app to run on the course you usually run, and “App Run Events,” where participants of App Runs gather to run. 100% of the entry fee will be donated to research funds to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.
