* -The special relationship between Arc’teryx and Gore-Tex-* Arc’teryx’s relationship with GORE began in 1995. Since its founding in 1989, Arc’teryx had never made waterproof/breathable clothing, or even a single piece of apparel.
In 1995, when Arc’teryx wanted to start manufacturing apparel, they came to Gore with an idea that was completely different from traditional Gore-Tex products. The idea was impactful enough to warrant a license to manufacture GORE-TEX apparel, and it was enough to convince Arc’teryx, who had the creative energy to innovate, to see the potential.

Arc’teryx’s unconventional design and manufacturing methods had a major influence on GORE.

In 1991, “Vapor” made use of thermoformed 3D foam.
At the same time, the company changed its name to ARC’TERYX, based on the motif of Archeopteryx, the first bird to soar in the sky in the history of biological evolution. Products are always designed fromm
Based on the philosophy of “creating from scratch” and based on the technology and experience cultivated in the rich and harsh environment of “Coast Mountain”, we are committed to “design, craftsmanship, and performance” and redefine the common sense of the industry. While continuing to innovate, we continue to lead the evolution of outdoor products by creating the highest quality products that demonstrate the best performance.
