Symposium for school managers “Management strategies and practical examples of global schools”
*Held on September 28th at Ito Thank-you Hall, University of Tokyo* International Student Success
The Association (hereinafter referred to as ISSA, Representative: Yohei Otsuka) will be held on September 28, 2024 at the University of Tokyo’s Ito Thank you Hall, focusing on school management that responds to globalization, career guidance for studying abroad, and examples of public relations utilization. We will hold a symposium for school managers titled “Management Strategies and Practical Examples of Global Schools.” This symposium was held in cooperation with Tobitate Study Abroad Japan, the Katsuiku Educational Foundation, and the IELTS and TOEFL management organizations, and this is the second time it has been held.
* Background and significance of the symposium *
The Japanese government believes that the development of highly skilled human resources who can play an active role in the world’s most cutting-edge fields is essential for Japan to further grow, improve its international competitiveness, and contribute to world peace and stability. The Future Creation Council set a goal of increasing the number of Japanese students studying abroad to 500,000 by 2033.
However, when Japanese students go on to universities overseas, they currently face challenges such as insufficient English proficiency, lack of information, and funding for studying abroad. In particular, it is important for teachers who are busy with their daily work to have the knowledge and know-how to provide accurate career guidance, as there are over 8,000 universities in the major English-speaking countries alone, and the education systems and immigration laws of each country are different. is not easy.
In order to resolve these issues, this symposium will share strategies and success stories for specific issues faced by school
administrators. We provide a place for educators to gather and exchange the knowledge and know-how necessary to promote education with a global perspective.
