Ryohin Keikaku provides products and services that enrich daily lives, with the aim of supporting the basics of daily life and making our stores serve as community centers for the realization of a “pleasant life and society.” Masu. As the store aims to become a community center, we will create a community space in the store where we will provide coffee and ice cream, so that all customers from the local area, regardless of age or gender, can gather and have fun. This space will offer ice cream with local flavors developed in collaboration with local ice cream makers, as well as freshly brewed coffee ground from beans.
“MUJI Coop Sapporo Kitahiroshima” has been actively engaged in initiatives that lead to regional revitalization, such as the lack of places to eat and drink in the surrounding area, and Hokkaido has long held store-based “Tsunagari Market”* and regular mobile sales. We decided to start this service from Hokkaido.
We are planning to roll out at MUJI Hiroshima Alpark and MUJI Tsukuba Namiki in mid-October, and MUJI Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin in
mid-November.
*Tsunagaru Market, which is held irregularly at MUJI stores across the country, is a limited-time market created and operated in
collaboration with local residents based on the concept of “connecting people and connecting communities.” It started in October 2017 at MUJI Yurakucho (closed in December 2018), and is now held at MUJI stores across the country.
Providing limited flavor ice cream made with local ingredients Until now, MUJI has developed ice cream that allows you to enjoy the original aroma and taste of the ingredients. “Apple Milk,” a new region-limited flavor offered at “MUJI Coop Sapporo Kitahiroshima,” is produced at Narita Farm in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, and has been sold seasonally at some MUJI stores since 2019. I used “irregular apples” that I picked. This flavor uses irregular apples soaked in syrup, including the scraps, allowing you to enjoy the natural aroma and sweetness of apples. We also offer about 10 different types of ice cream depending on the season, including the classic jersey milk sold at MUJI, salted caramel nuts, and matcha. We also offer “Affogato,” a combination of Jersey milk ice cream and espresso. We offer “Affogato” as a menu where you can enjoy coffee and ice cream together. Freshly brewed espresso is poured into Jersey milk ice cream, the most popular among MUJI’s ice creams. “Affogato” is made with the unique richness and rich milk flavor of Jersey milk ice cream and the sharp bitterness of espresso. It brings out the original taste of the ingredients and allows you to enjoy the exquisite contrast between cold ice cream and warm espresso. .
At Ryohin Keikaku, we aim to create community spaces needed by the region by continuing to expand the number of stores and providing attractive menus unique to each region while collaborating with the region.
