(Representative Director and President: Ryosuke Furusawa) is pleased to announce that we will be supporting Roppongi Art Night 2024, which will be held from September 27th to 29th. Also, the world-renowned design studio Tangent (location: London, UK/Tokyo)
The outdoor lighting brand “yomosugara” in collaboration with Hideki Yoshimoto (Representative: Hideki Yoshimoto) will light up the Mori Garden in Roppongi Hills during the event period.
*What is the outdoor lighting brand “yomosugara”?*
The brand name “Yomosugara” is an old Japanese word used in the Manyoshu, and has the meaning of overnight or overnight. The brand name reflects the richness of the time when people in the past reflected on people and landscapes. “yomosugara” asks the modern question of how to spend your nights. This is a brand of lights. “yomosugara” was created by focusing on Japan’s original landscape and the Japanese way of thinking about nature. We believe that Japanese-style light is light that goes hand in hand with nature, which the Japanese people have been familiar with since ancient times, such as the twilight that changes from dusk to night, and the moonlight reflected on a river at night. Unlike the decorative and assertive lighting of overseas countries, the design that is close to nature creates a gentle Japanese atmosphere as a Japanese-style calming night light.
It has a design that can be incorporated not only in Japanese spaces, but also in a variety of spaces, and is a Japanese outdoor product that is mainly aimed at overseas markets. We are developing it as a lighting brand. Therefore, we have decided to participate in Roppongi Art Night, one of Tokyo’s leading art festivals, believing that we can communicate not only within Japan but also to the world.
Shobu
“Shobu” is an indirect light fixture with the motif of the dignified appearance of a handsome irises. The slender and sharp shape stands quietly and emits a supple light.
The lineup includes a 2-lamp type that lights up the approach steps and a 3-lamp type that brings depth to the space.
Suiren
“Suiren” expresses a calm and serene landscape with water lily leaves floating on the surface of the water.
The design covered in clear layers creates a moist image of being surrounded by clear water.
By arranging three light fixtures of different heights and sizes, a natural layout is possible.
Kodama
“Kodama” is named after the spirit that dwells in trees. Characterized by an organic form and light covered with a clear film,
Light a light that is close to nature. A path light with two light fixtures can change the height and direction of each,
By lighting the lights in succession, you can create a fluctuating scenery. Even a single floor light that illuminates the surrounding area with soft, large light has a strong presence and creates a peaceful space.
