What is the “model of the future” created from Izumiotsu?
The city has long believed that it is important to utilize
cutting-edge technology while respecting Japan’s “history, tradition, culture, and way of life,” based on the premise of “coexisting in harmony with the natural world.” Based on this idea, we have been working through public-private collaboration and citizen co-creation to create a leading model for the future that solves social issues common throughout the country, with the aim of realizing a future society of well-being. By introducing and experiencing a part of this, this event aims to provide an opportunity for many people to envision and work together to realize a future society of well-being. Get a feel for the future society envisioned by our city through the provision of food based on the idea that medicine and food have the same origin, experiences with cutting-edge health technology, and exhibitions of new environmentally friendly energy technologies. “IZUMIOTSU WELL-BEING EXPO
On the first day of “2024”, the time machine “DeLorean” will be on display. The “DeLorean” on display is a special version, and it can actually run using “clothes that are no longer worn” (=garbage) as fuel, just like the setting in the movie that “runs by using garbage as fuel.” This time, it will be displayed at the venue as a “symbol of recycling” and you can take commemorative photos with it, so it is recommended for movie fans.

GARB GREEN, a restaurant located in Sea Pass Park, uses rice from various regions of Japan.
We will be selling rice balls supervised by the chef of “WALK” for a limited time at the event. You can taste the flavors of 6 countries around the world (limited to 1,500 pieces per day, 350 yen to 450 yen/piece)

On the first day of the event, Saturday, September 21st, “Let’s play in Izumiotsu Phoenix! Lawn Square” will also be held at Izumiotsu Phoenix. From noon to 8 p.m., this is a citizen participation event where the multipurpose green space of Izumiotsu Phoenix, which is normally inaccessible to the public and is the venue for an outdoor music festival that will be held for 20,000 people, will be opened to the public, allowing people to relax and enjoy the seaside. For approximately 45 minutes from 7:00 p.m., 6,000 fireworks, one of the largest in Senshu, will decorate the opening night (sponsored by HA Holdings Co., Ltd.).
