To commemorate the 65th anniversary of its release,
“#KonokokoMoToBabyStar” will feature the “Japan-Taiwan Sightseeing Train Project,” which will take you on a train journey not only to Japan but also to Taiwan, which is across the ocean. We have teamed up with Enoshima Electric Railway Co., Ltd., which connects Japan’s Shonan and Fujisawa to the ancient capital of Kamakura, and Kaohsiung Metro, which runs through Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second largest city and popular tourist area. Special vehicles with original body wrapping and interior decoration will be operated for a limited time on the route. *

2024 marks the 65th anniversary of Baby Star’s release in Japan and the 7th anniversary of the completion of the Taiwan factory. Baby Star, which is also popular in Taiwan, is teaming up with Japan’s Enoshima Electric Railway and Taiwan’s Kaohsiung Metro to develop the Japan-Taiwan Sightseeing Train Project, which will enliven areas along the lines in both Japan and Taiwan.
In addition to the original Baby Star package-style wrapped vehicle that has been operating on Enoshima Electric Railway since August 2, 2024, from September 7, 2024 to the end of December 2024, the original wrapped vehicle modeled after Kaohsiung Metro’s light rail, “Kaohsiung The “Metro” will operate on Enoshima Electric Railway, connecting Japan’s Shonan and Fujisawa to the ancient capital of Kamakura. In conjunction with the start of operation of the Kaohsiung Metro on Enoshima Electric Railway, where this design will be replaced, we will also be holding a sale of “Japan-Taiwan Sightseeing Train Project Commemorative Admission Tickets,” a stamp rally, and a photo contest. A line that runs through Kaohsiung City, located in southern Taiwan. It has good access to various famous tourist spots such as Liuhe Night Market, Ruifeng Night Market, Central Park, and Kaohsiung Arena, and is used by many tourists. Mikan is the cat stationmaster at Qiaotou Sugar Factory Station on the Kaohsiung Metro. Mikan, the stationmaster cat who looks just like Mikan when he sleeps curled up, is loved by tourists and commuters, and is also featured on the original wrapping vehicle.
