[Event Report] Learn from elementary school students! Jointly held emergency medical field experience program with active doctors *Providing opportunities for medical-related “vocational research” in a hands-on manner in emergency medicine*

implemented a program to encourage on-site experience and career development for those who aspire to become medical professionals. *

On both dates, two instructors, including a current doctor who works to disseminate medical efforts through the media and support students entering medical schools, participated, and the participants gained first-hand experience of emergency medical efforts. *
Participants receiving a lecture on emergency medicine from a practicing doctor Emergency medicine is a medical field that provides prompt and appropriate treatment to patients whose lives are in danger due to accidents or sudden illnesses. This includes transportation by ambulance, examination and treatment in the emergency department, and treatment in the operating room or intensive care unit.
In Japan, many cases requiring emergency medical care occur every year, with more than 6.5 million ambulance calls being recorded in 2022. This means that 1 in 20 Japanese people is transported by emergency in a year. All of these 6.5 million times were in emergency medical settings, where patients were required to receive treatment where every minute counts.
As Japan continues to age further, the need for emergency medical care is expected to increase.
The purpose of this extracurricular activity is to deepen
understanding of the skill set needed to become a medical professional through a program to learn about emergency medicine that elementary school students can participate in.
“Rezapro Extracurricular Activities” will continue to actively implement “education that fosters independence” and “programs that confront social issues” that cannot be experienced at school, and will continue to collaborate with organizations that promote activities with social significance. I will continue to do so.

Representative instructor at Meduson, a private school for medical students. We are actively disseminating medical information. From Nada High School, he entered Kyoto University School of Medicine and also works as an active internal medicine physician. While studying at Kyoto University School of Medicine, he worked as a lecturer at Tetsuryokukai.

Representative director of Rizapro Co., Ltd. Graduated from Waseda University, Faculty of Political Science and Economics.

Yuto Aisa
Head of business at Lizapro Co., Ltd. Graduated from Waseda University School of Social Sciences.
During his childhood, he lived in Ohio, USA for 6 years due to his parents’ job transfer. After taking the Eiken test, he obtained a TOEFL score of 95. Utilizing his English qualifications, he was accepted into Waseda University’s Faculty of Social Sciences. Later, in his second year of university, he founded Cloud English, a cram school specializing in Eiken, with the desire to deliver a high-level education to students across the country through his own experience with the Eiken exam.
In March 2023, he released “Get Pre-1st Grade in Eiken in 3 Months” (Gentosha Publishing), which ranked first in Amazon’s 10 categories, and a reprint was also decided.

In this program, we have set assignments in advance to help you understand the content more deeply. The challenge this time was to have participants research in advance about “famous medical figures they are interested in” and “parts of the body they are interested in.”
Although this was an unfamiliar task for elementary school students, some students created very realistic models of internal organs and explained their functions in detail.
Regardless of emergency medical care, we participate in the program after thinking deeply about “medical care,” which seems familiar but is something we don’t often think about.
Actual experience of emergency medical care
* Experience the emergency medical field! Understand the importance of “choosing one’s life”*
In the face-to-face program, elementary school students performed practical emergency medical care such as cardiopulmonary
resuscitation, triage, and medical treatment in English for
foreigners. Under the instructor’s lecture, they learned what was important at each stage and put it into practice with the goal of saving as many lives as possible when an emergency response was needed.
Particular emphasis was placed on triage, which aims to optimally allocate limited medical resources (medical staff, equipment, time, etc.) when a large number of injured or sick people occur due to disasters or accidents. A method for determining treatment priorities. The original mission of medical care is to help everyone, but you will learn about medical methods in situations where it is impossible to help everyone.
Although it was a very difficult theme to choose between “lives to save” and “lives that cannot be saved,” the elementary school students understood why this method was important and put it into practice with a serious look on their faces.
